2018 has been and gone

Happy 2019.

Last year was the first year in about a decade that I did not have to babysit one of my grandchildren while mum was studying or at work.  Since I used to take my card making gear with me I managed to make quite a few cards during those years but without making an effort this past year my productivity was way down.  Here are a few of my favourites from 2018.

With Eloisa having been born in late October it is likely I will be required to mind her when mum goes back to work so maybe I'll be able to use that time for making cards while she sleeps.

No it's not Christmas yet!

I thought I should add some more of last year's cards so these are some easy Christmas ones I made during the year but I didn't manage to send many out!  Maybe this year.

I've been challenged to add some more of my cards.....  These are some of my favourites from last year.

Inspiration

Sometimes you just need the right inspiration to get up and do something immediately.  That happened when I saw Lin's card.  I embossed one piece of 'wood' patterned paper and also a piece of what that had had some ink swiped over it.  I sanded the 'wood' piece and inked the other with a coordinated colour (the yellow).  I finished the lighter card with some other patterned paper, stamped on the reverse of a label from some washi tape and some ribbon from a the label of a top I bought recently.

I made this card yesterday and today realised it fits the challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch #44 which I had seen the night before making the card.

Update and a couple of challenges

Wow, it's been ages since I posted here!!

We have become grandparents again, to Chloe Jade, born 30 August to Erica and Dave, and celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary yesterday.

I've just completed some cards for a friend and thought I should add some here.

This one was made using the sketch challenge 209, from clean &simple stamping.  I loved it so much I made a few others as well.
